Melissa’s House

April 2010: Beverly Hills, CA

Our entire team felt so grateful to be trusted with the story of Melissa, her life, her death and now her legacy. One the more challenging shoots because the house hadn’t been built yet, but we needed to create the feeling of the home before and after. Truly a team collaboration. From Billy:

“Our story is so personal and so full of very difficult memories. Inviting a film crew in to help us tell it was challenging because we knew it would take the right storyteller to show how Melissa’s House could change lives, but we also had to relive our own sorrow in order to do it. The MyStory team was as sensitive and thoughtful as any family could hope for. We felt safe and heard and ultimately, incredibly blessed to have our story and Melissa’s House articulated in this way. You hand your trust over when the camera goes on. I’m so grateful we were in these truly skilled and passionate hands.”
